First Fishing Trip of the Spring

Was finally able to get out and test the fishing.  I had heard that people were doing well catching black drum, some reds, and if you can find the schools of trout you could do well.

It has been such a windy spring, finding a sheltered spot was the biggest challange.  We landed a few small reds, but the catch of the day was when I decided to switch from live shrimp to a DOA shrip on a float.  I was taking the third sting ray of the day of my line when I laid my other rod down, with the DOA dangling in the water.  A trout swam up to the boat and grabbed it.  My only trout of the day.
